Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe by Fatma at PakiRecipes.com.
Chicken pieces steamed first and then coated with cornflour batter. The authentic taste comes when you deep fry them with corn flakes/chips.


Ingredients
ChickenClick to find more about Chicken 1 kg (cut into 12 pieces )
Flour ( maidaClick to find more about maida) 2 cups
Baking powder 1 tsp
Black pepperClick to find more about Black pepper 1/2 tsp
SaltClick to find more about Salt 1 tsp
Ajinomoto 1 tsp
CornClick to find more about Corn flakes one packet medium
Bakery chips 2 packets ( not chilly ones)
Oil for deep frying


Preparation
Put chickenClick to find more about chicken in a pan and cook it for 10 minutes on high flame till it becomes whitish in colour.
Take it out and allow it to cool.
In a bowl mix flour, saltClick to find more about salt, pepper, black pepperClick to find more about black pepper, ajinomoto and baking powder by adding little water and make a smooth paste.
Dip chickenClick to find more about chicken pieces into this batter and keep aside.
Crush cornflakes and chips together and then coat the marinated chickenClick to find more about chicken pieces entirely with them. Make sure no area is left without coating of cornflakes and chips.
Heat oil in a karhayee or deep fryer and deep fry the chickenClick to find more about chicken pieces till they become golden brown in color.
You don't have to fry them for long as they are already steamed.
Serve with Ketchup or garlicClick to find more about garlic sauce. Enjoy!!!

I dont see where the recipe mentions 'cornflour'. Infact 'cornflakes' are used for the crispy coating.

In the beginning it was indicated to use cornflour, but in the ingredients it is mentioned to use maida which is all purpose flour.
