Chicken Pieces marinated in exotic spices and then cooked in spic chinese sauce. Best serve with chinese rice.


Ingredients
For marinade:
1/4 tsp black pepperClick to find more about black pepper powder
1 egg
SaltClick to find more about Salt to taste
1 1/2 tsps gingerClick to find more about ginger-garlicClick to find more about garlic-green chilliClick to find more about green chilli paste
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1 tbsp maidaClick to find more about maida/all purpose flour
2-3 tbsps cornClick to find more about corn flour
1-2 tbsps of water

1/2 kg boneless chickenClick to find more about chicken, cut into small pieces
1 medium onionClick to find more about onion chopped
1/2 tbsp chopped garlicClick to find more about garlic
1/2 tbsp chopped gingerClick to find more about ginger
2 tsps soya sauce
1 tbsp chilli sauce
2 tsps vinegarClick to find more about vinegar
1 tbsp cornClick to find more about corn flour + 5 tbsps chickenClick to find more about chicken stock(yakhni)
1/2 tsp brown sugarClick to find more about brown sugar
2 tbsps tomatoClick to find more about tomato sauce or puree
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
SaltClick to find more about Salt to taste
1 1/2 tbsps oil( preferably sesame) + Oil for deep frying
Fresh chopped green-onionClick to find more about onion sprigs for garnishing


Preparation
Marinade ChickenClick to find more about Chicken in the marinade ingredients for atleast 1 hour.
Heat oil in a Pot, and carefully drop the marinated chickenClick to find more about chicken into the hot oil. Cook on low medium flame and towards the end of the cooking process increase flame to high and deep fry to a golden brown shade. Keep aside.

Once again heat oil(sesame if avaible) in a seperate pan, add the chopped garlicClick to find more about garlic and saute for few seconds. Now add chopped gingerClick to find more about ginger and green chillis and saute again. Add the onionClick to find more about onion and saute for 3 minutes on high flame.

Reduce to medium heat and add the brown sugarClick to find more about brown sugar, soya sauce, tomatoClick to find more about tomato paste, chilli sauce and vinegarClick to find more about vinegar. Combine well and cook for 2 minutes.
Add 1/4 cup chickenClick to find more about chicken stock or water and cook for a minute. Add the deep fried chickenClick to find more about chicken at this point and cook for 4 minutes.
Add the 'cornflour water'(by mixing cornflour and water) and cook, tossing for 4-5 minutes.
You will find that it becomes thick due to cornflour. Remove fom heat.
Ganish with green onions and Serve hot with chinese rice.
