Hi
Most carpet manufacturers suggest vacuuming several times a week! Here in the real world, you can knock that down to once a week. Here are some vacuuming tips:
* Get the most powerful vacuum cleaner you can afford
* Don’t vacuum in the same pattern every time. You’ll pick up more dirt if you vacuum both horizontally AND vertically
* Use attachments to get the corners of the room and under the furniture, especially if there are people with allergies in your home
* Move the furniture at least once every six months and vacuum thoroughly underneath it
* Don’t wait until vacuum bags or containers are full. Empty them when they are only two-thirds full
Even if you vacuum weekly, you’re only picking up 75% of the dirt on your carpet. Depending on the traffic on your carpet, every 6 to 18 months, you should call in the professionals.

Neat and tidy and should be done on a regular basis in order to keep it that way. There are a few important points that you should keep in mind when it comes to using your vacuum cleaner. Following these few suggestions will help to make your vacuuming experience go smoothly and much quicker each and every time.
One thing to always be aware of when you're vacuuming is the height of the floor that you are on and what type of floor it is. This will determine which height setting you should have your vacuum cleaner set at, if there is a height setting switch on your vacuum cleaner. Having the height on your vacuum set improperly will not allow it to work to its full capability and therefore your floor will not get as clean as it could. The rollers are designed to only take so much resistant from the floor so if you've got the height set too low when you're on carpet, the rollers will not function properly and the floor will not be cleaned thoroughly.
Another important tip is to always be aware of your surroundings and what you are vacuuming. The last thing you want to do is get the vacuum cleaner cord wrapped up in the rollers as this could be very dangerous. To avoid this, always keep a grip on the cord and be aware of where it is laying so you don't run it over.
Finally, when using your vacuum cleaner, it is important that you remember to empty the bags or canisters which hold the dirt and debris on a regular basis. The amount of suction power is affected by the level of available capacity in these containers so if your vacuum bag or canister is completely jammed full of dirt and other debris, then you will have less suction power available for cleaner your floor. The best way to get maximum suction power out of your vacuum is to always keep the bag or canister as clean as possible. |
