Benefits of Fennel Seeds
Fennel Seeds (Saunf) are very effective for digestive problems. These seeds can be chewed upon or had as a tea decoction for beneficial effects upon the stomach. In many countries, these are routinely chewed upon after meals to aid in digestion after a rich meal while acting as an herbal mouth freshener.
Fennel seeds often provide quick and effective relief from many digestive disorders. They help to overcome gas, cramps, acid indigestion, and many other digestive tract maladies.

Fennel Seeds Tea
The tea from fennel leaves and seeds is beneficial for removing intestinal worms and bacteria. The syrup made from fennel juice alleviates the violent bouts of cough. The volatile oil is antiseptic, sedative, carminative, expectorant and it is used in the making of soap and perfumes. The herb also has a very valued effect: if it is pulverized in coops and stables it keeps the flees away.

Fennel Seeds Nutrition Facts

Be it the plant or the seed, fennel contains a wide range of vitamins, especially vitamin C. Moreover, it also contains minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium and manganese besides essential dietary fibres. Vitamin C acts against harmful bacteria in the body, thereby helping in improving the immune system. Also, being a rich source of fibres, consuming fennel seeds is an excellent option if you want to reduce the cholesterol levels in the body. In addition to that the fibres have the capacity to prevent intestinal cancer as they can eliminate cancerous substances and toxins from the body. One of the most important fennel seeds benefits is that, if you have high blood pressure, consuming them decreases it as these seeds are rich in potassium, thereby reducing the chances of heart attack.
