Rice cooked in the blend of spices, potato and turmeric powder.


Ingredients
1 1/4 cup rice
(presoaked at least 1 hour)
1 1/2 tsp garlicClick to find more about garlic paste
1/2 tsp gingerClick to find more about ginger paste
SaltClick to find more about Salt according to taste
1/2 tsp haldiClick to find more about haldi powder
6 cloves
1 bari illaichiClick to find more about illaichi
1 stick of cinnamonClick to find more about cinnamon

1 large tomatoClick to find more about tomato
23 green chilies
34 potatos peeled and cut in half
1 medium sized onionClick to find more about onion
34 tbs oil
1/2 tsp zeeraClick to find more about zeera
6 whole black pepperClick to find more about black pepper


Preparation
Fry the sliced onionClick to find more about onion in oil until transparent.
Add all spices including green chilis and chopped tomatoClick to find more about tomato along with 1/2 cup water and cook on medium flame until the spices are well mixed and the tomatoClick to find more about tomato has softened.
Then add the potatoClick to find more about potato and 1 glass of water, cover and cook till the potatos are almost soft.
Add in the presoaked rice and water so much so that it reaches 1 1/2 cm. above the surface of the rice.
Cover and cook on high heat until the rice is soft.
Then lower the heat to the minimum and remove from heat after 5 minutes.

havent yet tried but even i got scared like 34 chilis in that case my whole family will be in the bathroom :)

listen, do not make fun i think he meant 2 to 3 green chillies 3 to 4 potatoes and 3 to 4 table spoon oil. have a nice day

Mmmmmmmmmm.... Me and my family enjoyed it! I m 13 & was preparing a new not sooo complicated rice dish for the first time. Evryone loved it. Glad to have it on net!!!!

34 potatoes & 23 chillies and 34 tablespoons of oil-- all in one and one quarter cup of rice!! sorry, i just can't stop laughing and laughing and laughing. good entertainment, though.

OMG how many potatoes and chilies , are u sure about this oor do u mean 2/3 chilies and 2/3 potatoes cause 34 is alot for two to eat.
